Terra's Theme - Final Fantasy VI (solo piano arr. for the FFIX Memoria Project)

Hi everyone!!! This will be my last upload before signing off for the holidays, traveling around with family and extended family for the end of the year, but I will be sure to put aside some downtime to do my annual end of year games I played in 2023 report before the year is out!

So this is an arrangement ‪@AlexMoukalaMusic‬ asked me to write and record for the incredible ‪@memoriaproject604‬, along with Under the Stars from Final Fantasy Tactics. As with Under the Stars, Alex asked me to write this one with beginner/intermediate pianist Vivi in mind, which, as with Under the Stars, DID start out that way before...becoming decidedly NOT that way lmao 😂 Sorry this stuff is just too ingrained into my subconscious for them not to have undergone a zillion iterations in my head over the past two decades and the beginner/intermediate toolkit was just too limiting for what I wanted to do, so uh...yeah hahaha. One important thing to note is that I was greatly inspired by a version I had heard Shnabubula play years ago, it had a very simple improvisatory beginning with interesting chord changes that stuck with me ever since, so the beginning of my version is what I recall from his version and how I imagined a timid Vivi would approach a public piano, single RH riff at first before warming into the whole thing. It was a joy to revisit FF6 after so long, and hope you guys like it!!!!
