Mark Murphy with the RIAS Big Band Berlin under the direction of Jiggs Whigham. A rehearsal for a concert on March13th, 1997 in Berlin, Germany.
Mark rehearsed four titles in this video: "Detour Ahead", "Maiden Voyage", "Broadway" and "Stolen Moments". Because of the rehearsal in the studio, Mark used no microphone. Of course this rehearsal was mainly for the RIAS Big Band since Mark used these Big Band arrangements for most of his concerts when working with Big Bands. Thanks to Jiggs Whigham and Mark Murphy I was allowed to bring my little videocam and tape this rehearsal. Since I´m a big fan of Mark Murphy AND the RIAS Big Band, you can imagine how lucky I was. And of course here are also all the names of the musicians:

In the concert, Till Brönner was also in the trumpet section but I didn´t see him at the rehearsal. Perhaps he came later since I stayed only one hour at the rehearsal.
