➡️ LESSON DESCRIPTION:
This video's objective is to provide detailed instructions for taking routine cervical spine radiographs. Radiographic positioning included in this video are the anteroposterior (AP) axial, anteroposterior (AP) open mouth, anteroposterior (AP) axial oblique (LPO), anteroposterior (AP) axial oblique (RPO), and lateral cervical spine. *Discuss radiographic techniques using anatomic and projection terminology for the anteroposterior (AP) axial, anteroposterior (AP) open mouth, anteroposterior (AP) axial oblique (LPO), anteroposterior (AP) axial oblique (RPO), and lateral cervical spine. *Apply patient positioning techniques for common cervical spine radiographs. *List and identify the central ray location, image receptor (IR) size, marker placement, and image receptor placement. *Explain radiographic equipment manipulation for required radiographic examinations. *Describe procedural considerations for required radiographic examinations. *Discuss the relevance of pathology in radiographic procedures. *Explain the rationale for each projection. *Describe the positioning used to visualize anatomic structures.
