The x chocks are a mechanical chock designed to stabilize your RV or trailer and prevent unwanted forward and backward movement. The chocks expand out mechanically with a simple ratchet and prevent the tires from moving. This prevents lots of movement when walking around and also takes pressure off the jacks from all the wobbling. The ckocks are designed to stabilize but not to prevent rollaway. The literature specifically states they are not to be used as a parking brake so you are still going to need a basic wheel chock when on hills. We have been using this product for years and have really enjoyed it. If we forget to but them in you can immediately notice the difference. One drawback to the chocks is that they have lots of moving parts and can easily pinch you if you get your finger in the wrong place. The chocks are designed for tires 2-10” apart although a wider 17” model is available as well and is listed in the description above. Overall we have been very happy with these chocks and would recommend them to anyone who uses an RV or tandem axle trailer that wants to provide extra stabilization and minimize movement.
