WLS Chicago Weekend Weather Jingle – Anita Kerr Singers – Early 1960’s [DES STEREO]

Описание к видео WLS Chicago Weekend Weather Jingle – Anita Kerr Singers – Early 1960’s [DES STEREO]

Here are the Anita Kerr Singers doing their usual professional best on a big-band radio weather jingle from the early 1960’s for WLS, a Top-40 AM Chicago radio station. Enjoy my DES [Digitally Extracted STEREO] remix/remaster of this favorite historic jingle.

WLS ran jingles created by Anita Kerr and her 4-person vocal group since its inception as a contemporary music station in 1960 have always been a major part of the presentation of the station. Their sound was soft, well-blended and distinctive. These jingles propelled WLS into super-stardom.

These jingles were a major part of my formative years. I wanted to hear them in stereo. They were EQ’d for AM Radio broadcast, so the low-end and high-end were extremely exaggerated to sound good in that format, making it a challenge to EQ it for today's non-AM ears.

Technical Information:
I used iZotope RX-8 to isolate the Vocals, Orchestra, Drums and Bass into 4 separate tracks. Adobe Audition was used for Dynamic Range recovery, EQ, Delay, Reverb and final mixdown. Sonic Studio’s Amarra Luxe Sound Processor was used for post EQ and upsampling. NERO 2019 Platinum used to generate the final video.

Enjoy my MONO-to-STEREO conversion of this treasure from my childhood as the Anita Kerr Singers announce the upcoming weekend weather in Chicago on Wonderful WLS Radio AM 890.
