A Forgotten African Siege That Defied All Odds

Описание к видео A Forgotten African Siege That Defied All Odds

Today we are looking at a fascinating battle that took place at Hhlotse , in modern day Lesotho, during the Basotho Gun War of 1880-81. We'll be meeting a group of rough neck, hard as nails part time soldiers known as the Diamond Fields Horse and we’ll be discovering an almost forgotten European graveyard.

For military history geeks like me this is the sort of story that I find absolutely riveting.
