I always tell folks this is the Jeff McGovern Combat Rod, another of that sort of accidental Emmrod set ups that got huge. This rig is super portable and frankly I've landed huge fish on them. For tight quarters of streams & creeks it's fantastic and will lose little to nothing on open water as well. Referred to it many times as like big bore handgun hunting for fishing. Portable in size but huge in power. Once mastered these Emmord Combat rods are a total blast to fish.
