"King of Glory, King of Peace" from Such Glorious Gifts - Roland E. Martin

An excerpt from our April 2024 concert, GLORIA, at Our Lady of Victory National Shrine & Basilica in Lackawanna, NY.

"King of Glory, King of Peace" is the opening movement of suite 2 of Roland E. Martin's (b. 1955) career-defining choral song cycle Such Glorious Gifts. With simple yet melodious responses by unison higher and lower voices, this movement is a wonderful fit for anytime of the church year. This is also a variable movement made easy for beginners, and can be sung in 2-, 3-, or 4-part choir (this version is the full 4-part). Set to poetry by George Herbert (1593-1633).
