The device was developed to break through disturbed/
compacted soil layers, so that rain and surface water can find
a path to the groundwater table in the deeper soil structure.

When heavy equipment (such as excavators, trucks, etc.) are
used during work activities, the upper layers are compacted:
the heavy weight of the equipment compresses the soil.

The water cannot make its way to the groundwater table
when rain falls on the compacted soil, the water cannot make
its way to the groundwater table. The result is that the water
stays on the upper top layer.
