The last time 56-year-old referee Stevie Maclachlan was at Caberfeidh’s shinty ground in Strathpeffer, the game took an unexpected and serious turn.

Just over two weeks ago, and 12 minutes into the match between Caberfeidh and Kinlochshiel, the experienced official went into cardiac arrest.

But on Saturday he was back at the ground, watching the re-run of the match thanks to the quick actions of two of the Kinlochshiel players, Conor Cormack, and Keith Macrae.
