Tokyo's Top Level Iekei Tonkotsu Ramen at Miuraya

Описание к видео Tokyo's Top Level Iekei Tonkotsu Ramen at Miuraya

Ramen Miuraya (ラーメン 三浦家) serves one of the best iekei style tonkotsu-shoyu ramen in Tokyo. Some would even argue that this is the best iekei ramen shop in Tokyo, probably battling only with Hiiki in Kamata for the top spot.

The soup at Miuraya is a rich and deep pork flavor experience throughout. While you are waiting for your bowl, you will see the ramen shop staff continuously add fresh pork bones to the soup, which is then almost immediately served to the customers. Beware, if that isn't something that you are comfortable with. The resulting soup flavor is between funky and refined, really well balanced and probably satisfying for fans of either camp.

The pork chashu is absolutely fantastic and I will definitely get extra chashu when I go the next time. As said in the video, we have seen many people take their chashu, drop it on the rice and then add mayonnaise on top of it all, with some of the great pickles on the side.

The only downside of Ramen Miuraya is the inconvenient location in Kanamachi, which is quite a bit out of the way on the far East side of Tokyo and can be reached via Kanamachi station or Keisei Kanamachi station. With Mendo Wagamanma and Kanamachi Seimen, there are two other ramen shops around that might be worth checking out, after you had a bowl at Miuraya. The question is if you will find the stomach space to do so.
