Joondalup Line Perth to Joondalup Day Closure (Sunday 13th August)

On Sunday the 13th of August 2023, a very special occasion occured with the Joondalup Line closing from Perth to Joondalup during the day (and Perth to Whitfords at night) to allow for Stirling Station works, and some maintenance to the overhead live wire equipment. Train replacement bus services ran with three patterns:
904 All Stops - All station Perth to Joondalup / Whitfords to Perth
904 Express - Joondalup, Edgewater, Whitfords then express to Perth / Express to Whitfords then Edgewater and Joondalup
944 - Perth to Whitfords Express (at night)

This video covers most of the journeys of both the 904 all stops and express in both directions (since the route is a bit different), and so basically the 944 too as it is almost the same as the 904 express. We also take a look at the operations at Joondalup, Whitfords and Perth, and take a trip up to Butler on a Joondalup - Butler 3-car shuttle train alongside the new extension of the Mitchell Freeway that opened in July.
