The HTML ul and li tags are used together to create unordered lists in a web page.

The ul (unordered list) tag is a container element that represents an unordered list of items. It is typically used to group a collection of related items that do not have a specific order or sequence. Each item in the list is represented by the li (list item) tag.

In this example, we have a ul element that contains three li elements. Each li element represents a list item. When rendered in a web browser, the list will display as follows:

Item 2
Item 3

The ul tag creates a bullet point list by default, but the appearance of the bullets can be customized using CSS. You can apply styles to the ul and li elements to change the bullet style, indentation, spacing, or any other visual aspects.

The CSS code within the style tags sets the list-style-type property of the ul element to "square", which changes the bullet points to squares. Additionally, the li elements have a blue color and bold font-weight applied to them.

The ul and li tags are commonly used to create navigation menus, lists of options, or any other content that needs to be presented as an unordered list. By combining these tags with CSS, you can style and customize the appearance of the list to suit your design requirements.
