How Do You Even Start This Sudoku?

[Thank you all so much for your birthday wishes yesterday. Yes, I did have a lot of cake :).]

It would be hard to overstate Simon's love for today's puzzle. It's called Cross Purposes and it's by tallcat. This is a sudoku that will live long in the memory - it is just magnificent and, if you have time, you simply MUST try it.

Rules:
Normal sudoku rules apply. For each set of four cells touched by the same circle, the sum of three of the cells must equal the fourth cell. Not all circles have been given. Cells separated by a king's move (in chess) cannot contain the same digit. In cages, digits must sum to the small clue in the top left corner of the cage.
