Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Maxtrax 24 millimeter wide by 10 meter long kinetic recovery rope. This has an 8,818 pound vehicle recovery capacity. Now, this is a high-strength HMPE rope, which stands for high-modulus polyethylene. It will use kinetic energy buildup in the rope to recover a stuck vehicle, so this is perfect for use with cars, trucks, jeeps, and buggies that weigh up to about 8,818 pound gross vehicle weight rating. This is a kinetic recovery rope, so it does utilize kinetic energy accumulated in the rope as it stretches to increase the pulling force and reduce the sudden impact that's generated by conventional tow straps or chains.

This rope has a stretch rate of 30%. So basically, every inch the rope stretches will result in kinetic energy, which transfers into the force directed towards the stuck vehicle or the object that you're pulling out. So it even allows for a nice, smooth, unjarring extraction. The rope is quick and easy to set up for recovery. If you noticed on each end of the rope, they have these built-in loops that'll let you attach to anchor points on the vehicles using either bow shackles or soft shackles.

And you can use multiple ropes strung together with soft shackles to create the length that you need. If you noticed on the loops themselves, they have a polyethylene and polyester coating on them, protects these attachment points from scratches. And if you also noticed the bright orange color on the loops at the ends here, that's for high visibility. It does come with this hook, loop, and strap. But if you bundle everything together, you can run this strap all the way around it, bring it back around, hook and loop it together, and then it holds your bundle of rope all together in one package.

Dimensions on this rope, we mentioned the diameter of it is 24 millimeters, which translates to 15/16 of an inch. The total length on this is 10 meters, which translates to 32 feet, nine inches long. Does have a maximum load or brake strength of 26,455 pounds. But you'll want be aware of the vehicle recovery capacity is 1/3 of that. That's why we say it has the recovery capacity of 8,818 pounds.
