Feufolet / Glöqke (Québec) - S/T (Split 2022)

An excellent alliance in steel and blood by these two tremendous acts of the recent age of Québécois Black Metal, and maybe the best material from both bands to date.

Feufolet makes their return after their excellent debut full length released earlier this year.
The duo comprised of two active individuals in their homeland's scene, François Legueux (Emprise, Mort Aux Guex) and Comte Bergaby (Crapule, Véreux, Complo!!), both also active under Pénombre, return with a new excellent piece of atavistic Black Metal fury. In a clear parallel with other compatriots in Maléfices or Chätiment, as well as with French hordes in the Caverne or the Concilium collective, Feufolet harness the triumphant and cold Black Metal melodicism, while still encroaching it with immeasurable fury, and match it perfectly with the use of antiquated synths and epic clean battle calls, a sound perfect to honor the life of Pierre Falardeu, notorious Québécois film director and activist for the independence of Québec and liberation of the Québécois people.

Glöqke, on the other hand, have with this split their forth release, after 3 demos in 2021. Their sound is much different, although similarly atavistic, presented in the form of a stygian assault of Raw Black Metal negativism and darkness, much in line with their compatriots in Riviere du Nord or the 90's sound of the norwegian and Vlad Tepes.

To be materialized in cassette format, as a co-release between Disques Gargouille and Cursed Blood Records.
