Tariq Bin Ziyad burn the boats | Rock of Gibraltar | طارق بن زياد

Описание к видео Tariq Bin Ziyad burn the boats | Rock of Gibraltar | طارق بن زياد

In this vlog, you can watch the place where Tariq Bin Ziyad arrived with his army from Morocco in 711 AD and landed on the high rock which is called Jabal-Al-Tariq (Gibralter) after his name in Spain.

He addressed his army of 7000 soldiers and said, Now, the enemy is in front of you and the sea behind. He defeated the King Roderic of Spain. King Roderic’s rule came to an end in Spain. In rapid succession, Saragossa, Barcelona and Portugal fell one after another. Later, the Pyrenees was crossed and Lyons in France was occupied.

Spain remained under Muslim rule for more than 750 years, from 711 to 1492.

I also visited Rock of Gibraltar where you can find macaques who are actually a tailless monkey called a Barbary Macaque (Macaca Sylvanus). No one is sure how they got to Gibraltar, however, speculation has it they were brought either by the Arabs sometime after 711CE or the British after 1704.

Enjoy the vlog....
