Celestron Motorized Focuser Problems & Fixes

Описание к видео Celestron Motorized Focuser Problems & Fixes

Celestron's motorized focuser has a flaw in the hardware used to attach it to the telescope which is responsible for the reports of the focuser binding, screws coming loose and wild focus motor re-winds. But most people do not realize that this flaw also causes excess mirror flop (not focus shift) leading to a significant drift of the image over time. In this video, we expose the flaw and show you two ways to totally fix it so that the focuser works as intended and adds no additional mirror flop. We will also show you how to extend the focus travel so that you have sufficient travel at f/7 to get a fine focus.
