Vintage Yaesu FT 7B HF SSB transceiver classic

This is the vintage classic radio FT-7B made by Yaesu. This radio was sold during the seventies and was Yaesu's first compact HF all band all mode radio. When it was introduced, it was an instant hit in the ham community and today it has reached cult status. It succeeded the FT-7 so the B version is an improved version. The one you see here in this video might have well come from a time capsule; it is like brand spanking new. The FT-7B was (is) an extremely well built radio, very robust and with an excellent receiver and superb modulation. The FT-7B is capable of 50 watts RF, where its predecessor FT-7 could only do 10 watts. The other difference between the 7 and 7B is the 10 meter band; the 7B offers 4 band segments of 500 kHz each, the preceding FT-7 only had a single 500kHz segment in the 10 meter band.
