Learn how a scientist thinks about cause and effect in her research studying aging and the nervous system. This introduction to the NGSS crosscutting concept of cause and effect will prepare students to apply the concept of cause and effect to their own investigations.

This video is intended for middle school and high school audiences. It includes an explanation of correlation, cause and effect, and mechanism, as well as comparing the cause and effect relationship of genetics and disease between Huntington’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
