FSMA Laboratory Accreditation for Analyses of Foods Program: Federal Register Notice Implementation

Описание к видео FSMA Laboratory Accreditation for Analyses of Foods Program: Federal Register Notice Implementation

The LAAF Program establishes a laboratory accreditation program for the testing of food in certain circumstances. Under the LAAF program, FDA will recognize “accreditation bodies” that will have the responsibility of accrediting “LAAF-accredited laboratories” to the standards established by the rule. In certain circumstances, owners and consignees will be required to use a LAAF-accredited laboratory for food testing.

The establishment of the LAAF program is intended to improve the accuracy and reliability of certain food testing through the uniformity of standards and enhanced FDA oversight of participating laboratories.

This discussion will be led by LAAF co-leads from the Office of Regulatory Science and provide a broad overview of the LAAF program, focusing on latest Federal Register Notice and program implementation for import testing circumstances.

There will be a Q&A time with panel members from the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, the Center for Veterinary Medicine, and the Office of Import Operations. Questions submitted during the registration process will be addressed.
