For today's video, I'm going to show you how to make focaccia crust pizza. It is very simple using mixer only for kneading and fast rising for the dough. You will have your pizza ready in about an hour and 15 minutes. I love making it since it's fast and very tasty.

And I found using garlic powder and parmesan cheese in the dough mixture, make the crust very tasty and my boys will eat even the edges of the crust when usually they don't want to eat the edges of pizza crust from restaurant bought.

You can always experiment with what you want to add in your dough mixture to suit your taste and preference. I always experiment a lot and sometimes I use extra other ingredients for the dough mixture, for example: string mozzarella to fill the edges or American cheese etc. In the end of the day, cooking is about what you like! 😉

What you need:
2 1/2 cups+1/4 cup+2 tbsp of all purpose flour
1 cup warm water
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 tsp instant dry yeast
1 tsp salt
2 tsp parmesan cheese (optional)
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

How to make:
Add 2 tbsp olive oil to 1 cup of warm water and stir. Place 2 1/2 cups of flour in the mixing bowl, add the yeast, salt, garlic powder and parmesan cheese, mix well and pour the warm water mixture to the flour mixture. Place in the mixer and using kneading hook attachment turn to speed 2 and knead for 15 minutes. Scrape to cleans sides once in awhile.

The dough still sticky at this time. Add the 1/4 cup of flour in between those 15 minutes. If still sticky, add another flour 1 tbsp at a time. In my experience, I only need 2 tbsp of flour and the dough is smooth and not sticky anymore. And by the 15 minutes kneading time, the dough is elastic and smooth and ready to be place into medium greased bowl. Cover and place in the middle of the oven with the light on for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, the dough has double in bulk and roll on greased flat surface and shape based on the pizza pan you have. Do a second proof in the oven for 20 minutes directly on top of the pizza pan. After 20 minutes, take it out from the oven, then preheat the oven at 425℉. Dress your pizza crust with your prefer ingredients and bake for 25 minutes.
