Are you having a lot of vertigo or dizziness? Why is that happening? Well, it turns out your balance system is a combination of your eyes, your joints, your ears, and your brain. So if you have a problem in any of those, you're gonna have dizziness. So let's talk about it.

With your joints, if you have a nerve issue like diabetes or a hip replacement, or there's something that's causing the signal to not come from your body up to your brain appropriately, that can make you dizzy.

From an eye perspective, if you haven't gotten your prescription updated recently, or you have bifocals and you're having issues looking up and down, or you have any sort of eye issue, again, that can make you dizzy.

Generally, when I see it, is when people have ear issues. So there are certain bones that can get dislocated in the ears. These are, we call them crystals. And when that happens, you can get dizzy for short periods of time. But also if you have allergies or sinusitis, it can cause congestion in your ear, and that can cause what we call eustachian tube dysfunction and many people experience dizziness with that.

And lastly, your brain can also cause issues. So there are vestibular migraines or migraines that cause you to be dizzy. It's crazy because they don't always have headaches associated with them.
