2022 Ten Thousand Gravel Ride - The best gravel the Midwest has to offer, presented by Rapha Chicago. I rode the 70 mile route this year on a windy and hot Memorial Day Weekend! Nutrition was crap, saved by a midride Coke but ran out of water with about 15 miles to go. Trying to learn. Rode with 3 different groups for chunks of time and lots of solo and random flybys. This ride is a true classic, it's free, had aid stations and amazing routes. Some people do up to 300 miles!

This is an unsupported event and therefore riders are responsible for themselves. Riding in this area of Illinois is very challenging. The routes take you through very remote areas with little access to food and water. It is imperative that riders come prepared for a very challenging day on the bike. All routes feature a majority of gravel roads. Minimum recommended tire width is 32mm, while 40mm+ is ideal.
