Inauguration of Kakinada Campus of the IIFT

"The IIFT Kakinada campus is a labour of love of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ji.

Her personal intervention and passion have resulted in making this happen.

Foreign trade is going to become the defining feature in the years to come as we work towards a developed India.

This Amrit Kaal will determine the future of generations to come. Foreign trade will help us achieve the $30 Trillion economy target.

In last 30 years, Indian economy has grown nearly 12 times in dollar terms.

We are at the cusp where India is going to take off. If we have an ambition to grow 10 times in the next 25 years, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji, we can see the path ahead.

Under PM Narendra Modi ji and FM Nirmala Sitharaman ji, there has been a deft handling of the Indian economy.

The Aatmanirbhar Bharat package and a series of other measures have taken the country to a strong fiscal position, and it has been recognised globally.

The world wants to engage with India because they can see India as a growing economy with political stability & decisive leadership.

All arms of Government are working together towards a developed India.

It is a landmark day for Andhra Pradesh.

The state with its strength in agriculture, fisheries, manufacturing base being developed under 'Make In India', SEZs, will need manpower skills. IIFT is developing future management skills to support growth in foreign trade.

World wants to do FTAs with India and expand trade.

There is huge potential in India in terms of our large market and the potential to help other economies grow. The students of IIFT have a huge responsibility to take India to the status of developed country.

IIFT students have to take the responsibility to work towards development of all regions.

Let us work towards the bright future that India has. Urge everyone to respond to PM Narendra Modi ji's clarion call to buy 'Made In India' goods & support local businesses.

Let us work in the spirit of togetherness and support our weavers and artisans by buying their products.

The more we support them, the more we will be able to take development to different parts of the country. Urge everyone to make this a commitment."
