Dr. Barry Bartee shows and discusses a modification of the Cytoplast™ socket grafting technique. A dense PTFE membrane is used to cover a resorbable collagen membrane to graft the socket in conjunction with immediate implant placement. The dense PTFE membrane is left exposed. A combination allograft (mineralized and demineralized allograft) is used to graft the gap between the implant and socket walls. A monofilament suture (Cytoplast™ PTFE dental suture) is used to secure the PTFE membrane and reposition the papilla.
