Gar Mandaran. History whispers here. One of the tourist spots on the map of Hooghly, its name is Garh Mandaran. Garh Mandaran is located just three kilometers from Kamarpukur, the holy birthplace of Yugapurush Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansadeva. Kamarpukar, Jayarambati along with Garh Mandaran can be a nice trip. The name of literary emperor Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay is associated with Garh Mandaran. Background of the novel 'Durgeshanandini' as the average Garh Mandaran tourist center is now showing a new direction in the tourism of the state. Literature impressed the emperor and is mentioned in Garh Mandaran Bankim's writings-
"The route by which Jagatsingh traveled from Bishnupur province to Jahanabad is still visible. A little south of it is the village of Mandaran. Mandaran was a small village at the time, but at that time it was a prosperous city. Jagatsingh, who met Ramanidig in the temple, set out from the temple." Garh Mandaran once had a fort. Locals even today believe that there is a garh or fort under the soil. The then left government built this tourist center in 1987. The area is about 200 acres. This includes about 54 bighas of private property.

📌 Besides this average has historical importance. A dargah of Ghazi and Pir in Garh Mandaran known as 'Baro Asthana' to the local people. It is said to be the mausoleum of Ismail Ghazi, the general of Gaur ruler Hussain Shah. Dargah of Gaur Senapati Hussain Shah Senapati Ismail Gazi who was known as Pir Baba to people. This dargah is located on a hill. Regardless of Hindus and Muslims, everyone lights lamps in the dargah. Under the supervision of Hooghly District Council, it is beautifully decorated. Nature is the main attraction here. Forest surrounded by Sal, Pial, Eucalyptus and Teak. Except for the picnic time, the rest of the time is a special opportunity to be one with nature.

📌 You can enter with an average entrance fee of 15 rupees per head. If you have a four-wheeler, 30 taka more for parking, 15 taka for motorbike. An average Mandaran on a winter afternoon is waiting for the tourist with open arms. In the middle of the forest of Shal, Pial, about 100 steps are broken, the shrine's darshan and if you love solitude, then you must visit Garh Mandaran.

🚘 How to go average?
Board a bus from Kolkata to Jayarambati to Kamarpukur Chatti. From there you have to get down at Garmandaran Chatti again by Ramjivanpur bus. And if you go by train at Howrah Arambagh local, get off at Arambagh bus stand and board a bus to Kamarpukur Chatti. From there by bus or Toto to Gad Mandaran.

🏠 Where will you stay?
There is still no place to stay in the average Mandaran. If you want to stay, you have to stay in Kamarpukur or Jayarambati. From there should come the average standard. However, construction of cottages for overnight stay is going on.
