In this presentation, Yaesool will use Clip Studio Paint to walk us through her thought process behind the creation of her portrait designs. Learn about the value of artistic freedom, how practicing drawing what you see can lend to that freedom, and why getting familiar with the planes of the face can help give your portraits depth and that 3D feeling. In the demo part of this presentation, she will work on creating a portrait as she talks about how she breaks down her references and incorporates them into her portrait designs as well as some tips and tools that help her throughout her creative process. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session.

About the presenter

Yaesoolj (or Yaesool Jeong) is a digital illustrator with 10 years of experience creating art digitally. Her work consists mostly of character and portrait art decorated and enhanced with aesthetic elements, lighting and dynamics. She shared the first of her digital works on Instagram and found a community of other artists whose art inspired her to develop a unique style. Throughout the years, she worked on improving her skills and continues to share her work publicly. Yaesool’s work includes creating personal illustrations, commissions, as well as recording and sharing speed paints of her drawing process.
