About Patna - New Delhi - Patna COVID-19 AC Special--

02309/02310 Patna - New Delhi - Patna COVID-19 AC Special connects Patna with Delhi. It is basically a special version of 12309/12310 Patna Rajdhani running with same Timings, stoppages and coach composition. It is one of the fastest trains on the Patna - Delhi section.

Rajendranagar Terminal - New Delhi - Rajendranagar Terminal COVID-19 AC Special was introduced as A Daily Special Train from New Delhi To Rajendranagar (Patna) via Kanpur During Lockdown Period In India Due To CoronaVirus Pandemic.
It runs daily as train number 02309 from Rajendra Nagar (Patna) to New Delhi Railway Station and as train number 02310 in the reverse direction.
It covers a distance of 1001 kilometres in each direction however it takes 12 hours 20 minutes when operating as train number 02309 at an average speed of 81.16 km/h while its return journey takes 12 h 15 min at an average speed of 81.71km/h as train number 02310.
It has 4 halts in either direction at Patna Junction, Mughalsarai Junction, Allahabad Junction, and Kanpur Central.
With 21 Coaches, the train is the longest COVID-19 AC SPECIAL service in the country. Also this train has 7 AC 2 coaches which is maximum in Indian railways.

The train is regularly hauled by a WAP 7 locomotive of Gomoh Electric Loco Shed or Ghaziabad Electric Loco Shed. Due To Huge Demand, It Is Running With an Extra 2-Tier AC Coach (AE1).

No Curtains Are Present In Any Coach. Also No Pillows, Linen (Bedsheet, Towel, Blanket, etc), Food, etc is provided in the train due to CoronaVirus Pandemic.
