Hey everyone! for this weeks cover, I decided to do Iudex Gundyr's Theme from Dark Souls III.

I've been playing Dark Souls III for the past few days so far and I'm really loving. I recently bought all the Dark Souls games including the dlcs, so I've just been playing through them.

This theme is amazing. When I started playing, I wouldn't have expected there to be a boss super early in the game, I was getting nervous when this boss fight started. I managed to Gundyr on my first try, but it was a little difficult, especially when he reaches his second phase.

Honestly though, this theme is such an amazing start to the game. This theme sounds it could be theme way later in the game, but it ended up being in the beginning.

This track was a bit tricky because Dark Souls music is very orchesta based with lots of strings, horns, bass drums and more. Programming the strings and trying to give it that original vibe, while putting my own metal guitar on it was a bit tricky, but I made it work as I always do haha.

doing metal covers of orchestral based songs are quite difficult due to the amount of instruments having different parts going on at once. Mixing them and making them fit together was a fun puzzle!
