EZ-IO demonstration. In this video I use a chicken leg to demonstrate the insertion of the EZ-IO, and how it enters into the vascular system with the help of blue colored normal saline IV fluids. In the near future, I will do this again when I can get turkey legs, and see if I can get it to work better. As always, thanks for watching! Welcome to TacMed TV! My name is Steven. I have been in EMS since 1992, and been a Paramedic for 20 years. Since 2003, I've been a Tactical Paramedic. Like most in EMS, I have a teaching background. ACLS, PALS, BTLS/ITLS, etc., etc. I graduated from the Heckler and Kock International Training Division's Tac Med School. It's now the International School of Tactical Medicine.
My team of Tactical Medics, and I, have done operations with local, state, and federal law enforcement special operations teams. Some of these operations have been featured on the History Channel, The Discovery Channel, and National Geographic Channel. Also, Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and other local news agencies.
I hope you enjoy TacMed TV. I'll be working to bring information to fellow Tactical Medics, Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Fighters, EMTs, and Paramedics, that may sometimes, fall through the cracks.
