The Grand Traverse MTB

(Brief Intermission from Colorado Trail Episodes) With only one week of rest after finishing the Colorado Trail jumping into a marathon MTB race may not have been the best idea. But then consider the location... Crested Butte! So we loaded up Russell's Taco with dogs, bikes, and tools and headed west for 4 days and 3 nights in the beautiful town o Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte.
This was my first time in the area. I have been hearing about the splendor and trail access of the quaint little mountain town so my expectations were high. Not only were my expectations met but I was bummed we had to leave Monday after barely scratching the surface. Big thanks to the Grand Traverse promoters for getting us to come up and race. It was well worth the trip!
