The dance company ‘The Hot Shots’ (formerly ‘Harlem Hot Shots’) is a professional dance company founded in 2002, sprung from ‘The Rhythm Hot Shots’ (1985-2002). With over 20 years of experience they focus on dances and styles originating from Harlem, New York, during the swing era. The goal is to con- stantly learn more and more, and through stage performances shine a light on the rich African American swing dance traditions of the 1920s-50s. The company strives after creating personal and innovative performances while respectfully paying homage to what came before them.
