This video is my review of the Perdomo 30th Anniversary Connecticut. There are two other versions of the 30th Anniversary, Maduro and Sungrown.

Perdomo’s line of cigars is built around three “anniversary” series: the 10th, 20th and 30th Anniversary editions. There is also a line called Lot 23 as well as a Habano line that I have reviewed previously. Although the 30th year in business for Perdomo was 2022, the 30th Anniversary smokes were released in late 2023 due to packaging supply issues.

Only 75 retailers received the early shipments of the 30th Anniversary, although distribution has been expanded a bit they are still a little hard to find. A shout out here to Metro Cigars in Germantown, Wisconsin for having a good supply of these (as well as being a nice place to enjoy a smoke).

The key selling point on the 30th Anniversary line is that the wrapper (and some of the fillers) are barrel aged for 15 years. If you’re familiar with Davidoff cigars and pricing for their long-aged cigars, Perdomo 30th Anniversary is a bargain at under US$15 per stick.

One of many things I like about the Perdomo line is it doesn’t treat Connecticut smokers like second class citizens – the 10th Anniversary Champagne and this 30th Anniversary Connecticut are top of the line mild smokes.

Construction on this smoke was excellent, with no relight needed on a razor-straight burn.. Draw was very good, and no hint of cracking, which many Connecticut cigars tend to do.

Flavor profile was primarily a bit of cedar with hints of cashews and caramel. I paired it with coffee with sweet cream which was perfect on a very cold and snowy day out in the cigar hut. All in all, I rated the smoking experience a 9.0/10.
