Does the Nest Thermostat work with boilers? Yes, most of the time if you have a standard low voltage controlled boiler the Nest Thermostat will work with a boiler. In this video we teach you how to connect a Nest Thermostat to a boiler so you can control your boiler remotely with the Nest Thermostat.

Most boilers only require 2 wires for control, to install the Nest Thermostat with a boiler you need to install the wires into the R and W terminals. Typically the R wire will be red and the W wire will be white. It's best to confirm the which wire goes on which terminal of your thermostat by taking a picture of your old thermostat before removing it from the wall.

The Rc and Rh terminals don't need a jumper on the nest and with a two wire system you can insert the R wire into either of the terminals it does not matter. Typically most people use the Rh terminal.
