After restoring the Chestnut Chum I needed to find another opportunity to get out on the water and put the canoe to the test. The canoe was tested all right with some heavy seas on the return trip from my campsite on Nahmakanta Lake. I accessed the Nahamakanta Public Reserved Lands to settle into the fall season one last time before the canoes get put into storage for our long Maine Winters. Glad I had the chance to venture out and enjoy some cold windy fall Maine days in all its glory.
