Описание к видео Who knew making butter would be so easy, so delicious & so much fun!!

Who knew making butter would be so easy, so delicious & so much fun!!
I tried it out in my Thermomix & let me just say, I will be making my own butter from now on 😉

Here’s what you will need:
500/600ml fresh cream
400/500ml chilled water
Salt if needed
Cheesecloth for straining (or you can use the Thermomix sieve basket)

Method:
Select the butter recipe on the Cookidoo app.
Follow the instructions on the screen. I managed to only get 500ml cream so I used that instead of 600ml - the screen does mention that you can go further than a minutes to blend the cream so you will need to check to see if the solids separate from the liquids - I did this process 4 times (by the second time I achieved whipped cream).
Next you want to strain the mixture, I used a cheese cloth because I find it’s better at removing the excess liquid.
Keep the liquid that remains in the fridge as this is buttermilk & can be used for buttermilk pancakes, buttermilk scones, rusks, chicken & more.
Now back to the solids - add it back into the Thermomix jug with chilled water - I used 400ml.
Blend that together until it separates once more. Strain this again but toss the liquid as it’s of no use.
At this point the solids that remain is unsalted butter. You may flavour it as desired.
I added some salt flakes & mixed it through in a container.
This butter can be frozen for up to 3 months & keeps in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
