"This spirited chant, “Ram Ram” graced by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar himself, celebrates the liberating mantra “Ram”, As Gurudev explains, “Ra means that which is radiant; Ma means Myself.” Repeating the name together turns thousands of voices into a single meditation on courage and joy."
The music album Sounds of Kumbha is a living memoir of the Mahakumbha, the world’s largest gathering of humanity devoted to peace, prayer, and spiritual unity.
Enabled by the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, this unprecedented project reflects the state's commitment to Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, digital governance, cleanliness, safety and security that helped transformed the Mahakumbh into a global cultural and spiritual marvel.
A coordinated effort enabled by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with Network18 and History18 and Universal Music Group, Sounds of Kumbha carries the essence of the Mahakumbha to every corner of the world.
Over 50 global artists, including Grammy winners and nominees came together, not just to perform, but to immerse themselves in the sacred experience of the Mahakumbha. Each track channels the energy, devotion, and silence of the divine confluence offering listeners a timeless journey of peace, connection, and inner stillness.
