⭐️ STAGE 1: LETTER-SOUND FLUENCY

🧠 Wiring the brain for sound, alongside learning the alphabet, is really important as it helps children to understand the 'Alphabetic Principle' - that letters are used to represent sounds.

🧠 These videos are of Emily & Isobel learning the initial code (the name and sound for each single letter of the alphabet). These are not the only sounds the letters represent, but they are the first sounds beginning readers need to know when learning to read CVC (consonant, short vowel, consonant) words.

🧠 Children are capable of learning the names of the letters AND the sound simultaneously.
