PAH clearance is used to measure Renal plasma flow. WHY??

In this video, the discussion on why PAH (Para amino Hippuric acid) clearance is used to measure Renal Plasma flow.

For measuring renal plasma flow the substance must be completely cleared from the plasma.

PAH is almost completely cleared from the plasma. PAH clearance rate = renal plasma flow.
