Is the paint on your Corvette bubbling up? I have two of these cars and both of them have this problem. I do not want to invest the time or money in a complete repaint so I am going to repair the paint that is on it. Sure, it won't be a show stopper but it will look good at 100MPH. It all fairness, this car really needed a new paint job but I just can't bring myself to spending the money or the time on it. The black cherry paint cost around $700.00 a gallon so a $245.00 quart will have to do. I will show you how to get a decent looking driver quality paint without a fancy booth or breaking the bank. I am going to use a two-stage paint which means there is a base coat and a clear coat. The base coat is a metallic color so it will require a mist coat at the end. That way it will all be even and uniform. Then a good layer of clear so I can buff the heck out of it. The most important part is the prep and repair work. The paint is the easy part...ish. In this video, I will show the repair and prep. The paint will have to wait until spring as it is getting too cold to paint. I do not have a heated booth or any booth for that matter.
