Bicycling In Lancaster County Pennsylvania Amish Country

This ride was one of the rides in a book called Wheeling Around by Richard and Louise Jones that was published in 1973. In this video I give you a little history of Richard and Louise and then I take you on one of their favorite rides in Amish country. The ride is not very hilly (48 miles and about 2000 feet of climbing), and it was an absolutely beautiful day to ride. Amish country in Lancaster County is probably one of the ten best areas to ride a bicycle on the road. Traffic is light, the views are stunning, and the people are extremely friendly. It is an absolute treasure in southeastern Pennsylvania and I highly recommend you take advantage of it if you are in the area.
