How I Figure Concrete Yardage Using My Dewalt Laser Level

I like to use my Dewalt Laser Level to check how thick my concrete floors will be. It's easy and fast to set up the laser and use it to see if the subgrade is level. In this case, I have a finished grade of top of the concrete wall so I can set the receiver to that level.
Then, using the laser I hold the grade stick above the subgrade until it matches the top of the wall grade and use my Dewalt tape measure to see how thick the concrete floor is in that spot.
I'll do this in multiple areas to get an average thickness. After I know the average thickness I can figure out how many cubic yards of concrete I need. This is how I check most of the concrete floors we pour in all these videos. I highly recommend getting a Dewalt Laser like this one as it makes the job very easy and much faster than checking grades any other way.
