Tulip Go Go Red, the most exotic looking flower among my tulips!!!

Описание к видео Tulip Go Go Red, the most exotic looking flower among my tulips!!!

Tulip Go Go Red is definitely the most exotic looking flower I got from any of my tulip varieties, thanks to its spidery shape and super vivid red and yellow colour!!!
Tulip Go Go Red belongs to the Lily-Flowered Tulips, so called for the very open arrangement of the tepals when in full bloom and in full sun (tulips tend to close their petals at night and in overcast/rainy days), vaguely reminding of the flower shape of many lilies.
Tulips are some of the hardiest plants in temperate and cold climates and are hardy in USDA zones 3 to 8, therefore most of the cold and temperate countries including the throughout the entire United Kingdom, where I live. The bulbs need to be planted in autumn in full sun (or at least partial shade) and well drained soil, between 10 and 15 cm deep and 10-15 cm apart (a bit more packed if planted in a pot, in which case ensure to put adequate dose of fertilizers to nourish the plants), and will bloom in early to mid-spring. After blooming, it is important to not cut the leaves off but let them die down, it might be unsightly but it is very important to keep them as they are photosynthesizing in order to provide energy to store in the bulb for the blooming of the following year. In late spring / early summer the leaves will die down and the bulbs go dormant, and you can then keep them in the ground, or lift them and divide them, if you wish. When they are dormant, tulip bulbs should not be watered, and if they are in the ground near other plants that need watering in summer, the fact that you planted them in well drained soil will ensure that no water will stagnate near the bulb causing rotting.
