Alternative for Angels Landing: Observation Point - Zion National Park

Описание к видео Alternative for Angels Landing: Observation Point - Zion National Park

No permit for Angels Landing? No Problem!

I have maybe an even better alternative: Observation Point.

This is a full guide for those who want to hike to the Observation Point in Zion National Park Utah.

In this video, I will show you my recap of my hike to the observation point through the east mesa trail.

This hike is considered to be an easy/moderate difficulty level. The length of the hike is about 3.3 Miles (5,5km) one-way trip. And it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours to walk a round trip.

Need supplies and entering from the south entrance? In the village Springdale is your last opportunity to stop and buy food and gear before you enter the park. There is a small supermarket in the village called Sol Foods, navigate to this address: 995 Zion – Mount Carmel Hwy, Springdale, UT 84767, United States

The starting point is actually just outside the national park. If you enter the park through the south entrance like I did, you have to drive throught the park and get out at the east entrance side.
If you do not hava a 4X4, I recommend to park you car at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort, and take the shuttle bus from there to the trail head. Inform for the departure and return times at Panderosa before you do.
This is how you get to Panderosa Ranch Resort:
Address: Twin Knolls Rd, Orderville, UT 84758, United States
GPS: 37.27135903392782, -112.87577463564404

If you have a 4X4, you can drive up to the trail head, navigate to this location:
Addres: East Mesa Trailhead, E Mesa Trail, Springdale, UT 84767, United States
GPS: 37.29654010813914, -112.90138044751417
