Welcome to Venice, known as the city of canals. Built over 100 islands, Venice is one of the most unique cities. They say that it’s the most beautiful city in the world, is it true? Let 's find out!

We start our journey early in the morning. The views from the plane were spectacular and when we arrived at the airport we took a bus that took us to Venice in 20 minutes.

At first, Venice looks like a normal Italian city. But a few meters later you begin to discover the hundreds of canals that cross the city. No matter how many videos you've seen, the reality is a hundred times more impressive.

A few meters later, we find a huge promenade next to a large canal. There were very few people and the atmosphere was very calm. The sunset, its colours and the breeze were real and I still couldn't believe I was in Venice.

We looked for a restaurant among the small canals but in the end we decided to have dinner in front of the sea in a restaurant located in the first line. The place was very cozy and very romantic. And of course, the views were unbeatable.

We left our hotel, which was close to the centre, and started our walking tour. You really do not need any type of transport to visit Venice because the most beautiful places can be seen on foot and on top of the bridges. Any place is ideal for a photo, since everything looks like a movie set. And of course, the best time to do this is in the morning.

We continue our walk and discover more canals, original small shops and delicious pastry shops. We also saw many gondolas, which are traditional Venetian rowing boats. Gondolas were for centuries the main means of transportation in Venice and still play an important role.

On the next day we visited Ponte Dell'Accademia, Ponte di Rialto, the Grand Canal and St. Mark's Square (where you can find St Mark's Basilica).

St Mark's Basilica is the most important religious temple in the city of Venice. You don't have to be religious to admire the beauty of its architecture. And also, a part of the spider man movie: far from home, was recorded in this place. Then, we continued walking through the small streets, seeing boutiques and Venetian masks until we reached the most famous bridge.

On the way to the hotel we saw more typical gondolas that seemed to be taken from a painting, narrow streets and colourful buildings with very beautiful shapes.
