The food and wine festival is happening now at Busch Gardens so here’s a review of everything we tried!

Italy
Maltagliati - 8/10 (I liked the large flat noodle shape and the sauce had a lot of great textures.)
Lemon Ricotta Cake - 8/10 (Nicely sweet but not too sweet with a lovely lemon flavor.)

Turkey
Chicken Döner Kebab 6/10- (Nicely seasoned chicken, toppings were fine.)
Simit- 0/10 (This literally tasted like a dry hamburger bun.)
Turkish Delight Cocktail - 1/10 (This gin based cocktail was wayyyy to heavy on the rosewater.)

China
Vegetable Jiaozi 10/10 (We loved these veggie potstickers! Really well seasoned filling.)
Panda Dessert Bun- 4/10 (This was very cute but it didn’t really taste like anything. Sort of like eating a plain marshmallow.)

Africa (Specifically Egypt)
Koshary- 9/10 (This was a blend of Rice, Pasta, Lentils, Chickpeas, Crispy Onions & Zesty Tomato Sauce. Great flavor and texture!)

Hawaii
Kālua Pork Slider- 7/10 (Decent flavor. Hard to eat.)

Poland
Pierogies - 6/10 (We liked the caramelized onion jam but the Pierogies themselves didn’t have much flavor.)
Strawberry Rhubarb Kompot- 10/10 Loved this Strawberries, Rhubarb, Lemon & Peach Infused Water. It was just the right amount of sweetness!

Other things we tried:

Herbal Infusion- Mandarin Basil Wine Spritzer- 1/10 (way too much basil)

BarKastle Spirits- Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Tart- 8/10 (You could really taste the bourbon and we loved the pecan crust.)

The Food and Wine Festival happens Thursdays through Sundays from April 24 – June 22. The event itself doesn’t cost any extra beyond the park admission and the food & drinks are generally between $8-14. If you’re planning a trip to Busch Gardens, check it out!
