Four Ways You Can Take A Company Public - IPOs, Direct Listings, Reverse Takeovers and SPACs

You generally have two types of companies in the world – private companies and public companies.


In private companies, shares are typically held by few people such as early investors, founders, the management team and so on. In a public company, shares are held and can be traded by the general public via the stock market or stock exchange. For this to happen, its shares need to somehow be listed on that stock exchange via something called a listing.


Companies can list on a stock market in many ways. In this video I briefly talk about four: an IPO, a Direct Listing, through a Reverse Takeover, and via a SPAC.
