POWER since 2022 is working for poverty alleviation in the city of Bhakkar in Pakistan through food distribution and other initiatives. Distribution of meals is a consistent practice of the organization in many areas of the city.

Bhakkar district in Pakistan faces a significant poverty problem, with a high percentage of its population living below the poverty line. Specifically, one study indicated that 61% of people in Bhakkar's Tehsil Bhakkar lived below the poverty line. The district also has limited economic opportunities, particularly in certain areas, and faces challenges like administrative hurdles and socioeconomic disparities related to social safety net programs.
POWER (Pak American Organization for Workers’ Education & Relief) is a nonprofit organization rooted in compassion, unity, and action. Established with the goal of uplifting vulnerable communities, POWER has grown into a multi-faceted humanitarian organization focused on food distribution, poverty alleviation, empowerment, education, and mental health support.
From our humble beginnings supporting workers and advocating for their rights, POWER has expanded its mission to tackle urgent social challenges faced by communities both in the United States and globally. Our Key Focus Areas:
