The Uganda People’s Congress party president Jimmy Akena has defended the designation of Maruzi county member of parliament as the vice chairperson of Parliament’s Committee on Science and Technology.
Akena says his party believes in setting aside political party interests for greater gain.
His party is currently receiving a lot of flak from other opposition parties for working with the ruling NRM .
